About Us
DocTalk
DocTalk has been utilized
by AKDHC for the past 6 years. The hospital census program was first implemented
into the practice in May of 2003 with 18 physicians and 4 full time billing
personnel. In October of 2003, the physicians designed the Physician to
Physician Sign-Out program. The Dialysis patient visit tracking program followed
in January of 2004. Today, AKDHC has tripled the number of physicians yet
reduced its billing personnel.
DocTalk has helped AKDHC increase efficiency and reduce overall expenses.
DocTalk utilizes wireless technology to communicate patient information between
physicians and administration efficiently using an iPhone, Windows Mobile device
or a secure Web Portal. This technology is utilized for capturing Hospital
Census, Dialysis Unit Rounds and Office Visits charges. A provider can also
complete patient sign-out and follow up information for physician to physician
communication. All information is synchronized with a secure Web Portal
providing the physicians with an up to date census upon synchronization. The
portal can also be used by Doctors and staff to enter, monitor and scrub all
information. New DocTalk add on’s include DocTalk access and surgery center
applications.

Recent Milestones
-In 2009 the DocTalk program was
released for the iPhone. The same great features and benefits that our users
expect are now available on your iPhone or iPod touch.
-DocTalk recently implemented into AKDHC 'The DocTalk Office'. Utilizing
Doctalk Hospital, Dialysis and Office rounds AKDHC can now track Physician activity
same day. AKDHC will be able to analyze the activity and make adjustments to operate
more efficiently and increase profits.
-In 2006 DocTalk implented its enterprise level application into practices across
the nation with a sophisticated HL7 interface. Practices utilizing practice
management systems like Medical Manager, NextGen, MySis, Mars, Datapulse and any
other HL7 Compatible System can now greatly benefit from DocTalk's HL7 interfacing
capabilities.
-DocTalk created a full Dialysis Visist Charge Calculating engine in 2006.
This engine will allow your staff to caculate the charges based on the dialysis
visits, hospital stays and patient demographics.
